Hey there, hi there, ho there, and welcome back, guys. I've finally got the first submission from a recent acquaintance over at The Superhero Hype! boards, one of the sites I used to publicize this blog: 'Stephanie', who uses the screen name 'Webmistress'.
____________________________________________________________________

Name: Alexia Dark

Alias: Spider-Woman (she wanted 'Black Widow', but it was taken) :p

Age: 20

Hair: Black

Eyes: Blue

Height: 5 feet, 7 inches

Weight: Approx. 120 lb.

Powers: Alexia has the ability to stick to any surface, (usually walls), and can fire organic webbing out of her wrists. As well, she possesses super-strength(can lift/press approx. 10 tons) and agility, which makes her extremely flexable. She also has a 'spider-sense' that warns her of impending danger to herself and those around her. For more info, search for 'Spider-Man' on http://www.marveldirectory.com/ . Anything he can do, she can probably do better.

Personality: Fiesty and strong, yet caring and compassionate. She'll kick your ass without question if you threaten her or people she cares about, but if you're her friend, she will stop at nothing to help you.

History: Alexia was a not-so-typical girl living in L.A. with her working-class mom until she recieved a scholarship to go to Columbia University, and moved to New York. An exotic beauty, she worked as a part time model in L.A., and continued when she moved to New York.

On her first day in NYC, Alexia was on the El-train when Doc Ock and Spider-Man found themselves fighting on top of it. Ock destroyed the breaks, sending the train full-speed toward the end of the tracks, which stopped in the middle of the street. Spider-Man was able to stop it, but not without having his face completely exposed to all of the passengers, including Alexia.

A month after the disaster, Alexia argues with her dorm-mates, and moves out. As a full-time student with a part-time job, all Alexia can afford is a room in a run-down apartment. Lo and behold, this happens to be the same apartment where Peter lives. Right away they recognize each other, and through a series of conversations, eventually become friends.

But during a routine outing, Alexia finds a ticket to a science fair, and on a whim decides to attend. While there, Alexia tries to stop a thief from breaking into the labs of the building. In desperation, he injects her with a large syringe to stop her.

Alexia quickly discovers what the thief had unknowingly given her: the DNA of a Black Widow spider, intended for a project similar to the one the spider Peter had been bitten by. Thus, Alexia was affected in the same way, hence her powers, nearly identical to Peter's. With her knowledge of Peter's identity, and after asking what had caused his life to take the turn that it did, Alexia decides to put her abilities to use, and is inevitably named 'Spider-Woman' by the Daily Bugle.

Notes: Although she says that she does what she does simply 'because she can', Alexia became a super-heroine for more reasons: partially to make things easier for Peter, to whom she is now a good friend, and also because she rather enjoys fighting against injustice, both literally and figuratively.

Alexia tends to leave a little calliong card behind when tying up bad guys for the cops; a regular business card with a picture of a Black Widow spider on it.

She also tends to be a bit Gothic in her choices of clothing. She loves basic black and leather.
